


ArmInfo. Armenian Ombudsperson's Office visited the Nubarashen penitentiary on September 7 and met with the arrestees Andrias Ghukasyan and others there, the Office's press-service told ArmInfo.
"Ghukasyan was transferred to the patient's room of the medical department and has all the necessary conditions to recover after hunger strike. The head of the medical department visits him every day. Ghukasyan will undergo medical examination," the source reports.
To recall, Andrias Ghukasyan was detained on July 29 during the antigovernment demonstrations when Sasna Tsrer armed group seized the police station. He is charged with Article 225.1 (organization of mass unrest) of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Andrias Ghukasyan went on his hunger strike on August 1. "I am a political prisoner and I demand the people to establish constitutional order in Armenia and restore justice with all possible methods," Ghukasyan posted on Facebook. On August 24 the Court of Appeal in Yerevan did not satisfy motion on changing the measure of restraint against Andrias Ghukasyan and setting him free on bail.
