Maria Zakharova: Karabakh settlement pressing issue for Armenian people

Karabakh settlement is a pressing issue for the Armenian people, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told journalists on July 4, according to RIA Novosti. 

That is why, in her words, "Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is holding bilateral meetings on sidelines of the CSTO Ministerial in Yerevan. That is why we are exerting genuine efforts to ensure successful settlement of the issue." Zakharova said she was speaking about Russia's role of the negotiator in the Karabakh peace process. 

To recall, Yerevan is hosting the CSTO Ministerial today, on July 4.  Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov have met on sidelines of the event.
