Lavrov and Steinmeier discuss prospects of promotion of Karabakh peace process

The Russian and German Foreign Ministers - Sergey Lavrov and Frank-Walter Steinmeier discussed the prospects for promotion of the Karabakh peace process in the context of the results of the German minister's visit to Yerevan and Baku as the OSCE CiO. 

The press office of the Russian Foreign Ministry has told ArmInfo that they discussed the issue in a telephone conversation initiated by the German side on July 1. 

"The ministers discussed certain aspects of the Russian-German agenda and exchanged their views of the key international problems", the Russian Foreign Ministry reports. 

To note, on June 29-July 1, German Foreign Minister, OSCE CiO Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid a regional visit to the South Caucasus.  He met with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan and discussed the ways to resolve the Karabakh problem.
