Jirayr Sefilyan's supporters detained on suspicion of organizing criminal group

Not only the initiator of the New Armenia movement Jirayr Sefilyan but also the spokesman of the movement Varujan Avetisyan and activists Armen Mikaelyan, Vito Davtyan, Armen Lusinyan, Eduard Grigoryan, Yerem Khondkaryan were detained on suspicion of organizing a criminal group, member of the movement Suzan Simonyan wrote on her Facebook. 

To note, New Armenia Front co-founder, Artsakh War hero, Zhirayr Sefilyan was detained today on June 20 on suspicion of organizing a criminal group. A criminal case based on Article 235.2 was initiated. Eight persons faced charges for illegal acquisition and keeping of weapons, another 6 were arrested, while one is wanted. The charges are based on the proofs collected and the testimonies of the group members.  According to the special investigative committee of Armenia Sefilyan and his supporters were planning to seize buildings of state importance  during the days of April war. The investigation continues.  Karo Yeghunyan, an activist of New Armenia Front, said that Sefilyan was detained from Sardarapat.
