Artsakh (NKR) Police have initiated a criminal case over beating of MP Hayk Khanumyan.
The NKR Police press-office told ArmInfo, the criminal case was initiated on the basis of Khanumyan's wife Diana Movsisyan's appeal on the basis of the Article 129.1.1 and 129.1.2 of the NKR Criminal Code (kidnapping by a group of person, bodily harms dangerous for health or life, violence or threats of violence).
To note, MP of the National Assembly, Leader of National Revival Party and supporter of Nagorno Karabakh's former Defense Minister Samvel Babayan, Hayk Khanumyan was hospitalized after being beaten in the morning on June 6 in Stepanakert. MP Hayk Khanumyan, left a post on Facebook overnight saying that what happened to him was an outrage.
He wrote that he was beaten up severely and forced to sign a document and say on camera that he allegedly organized actions in support of the former minister of NKR Samvel Babayan for reward.
