Gagik Khachatryan's nephew detained, mass media reports

 According to information spread in mass media, Karen Khachatryan, son of Armenia's Finance Minister Gagik Khachatran's brother, was detained yesterday evening. 

Answering to our request the National Security Service of Armenia said that it will comment on the information later. 

To note, recently Deputy Finance Minister of Armenia Pavel Khachatryan told journalists in the Armenian parliament that Karen Khachatryan was dismissed from his position based on his own letter of resignation. 

To recall, earlier Armenian mass media reported that a case was initiated based on an audio file, which was spread in the network on March 30 and in which persons in the name of "a group of employees of the Customs Service" present corruption schemes, which were operating in this service for many years. Certain names including Gagik Khachatryan and his nephew, Head of Internal Security Department of State Revenue Committee Karen Khachatryan's names were mentioned in the file. This audio file was deleted from the social networks, but immediately after that NSS department on fighting against smuggling was closed and all its employees including Head Samvel Baghdasaryan whose name was also mentioned in the audio, were dismissed.
