"Keep your hands away from Artsakh". Protest being held in Yerevan

 Protest under "Keep your hands away from Artsakh" slogan is being held in Yerevan at the moment.

The protest is attached to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's visit to Armenia. It is aniticpated that the latter will bring new proposals on passing Artsakh territories to Azerbaijan.

The protesters are marching from the Liberty Square to the building of foreign ministry. The participants are mainly young people; MP of Armenian parliament from Heritage Party Zaruhi Postanjyan has also jointed them.

Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said at a briefing today when commenting on media rumors that Lavrov travels to Armenia with a plan on the Karabakh settlement that "Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov never goes empty-handed anywhere".

At the same time Zakharova said it would be wrong calling it a plan, a document or a proposal. "It is rather some groundwork, discussion of various settlement-related ideas. This is our mediation mission - to listen to the sides, discuss possibilities, hear the issues troubling them, and offer options of resolutions," Zakharova said.  

The participants of "Keep your hands away from Artsakh" protest being held in Yerevan delivered to the employees of Russian Embassy in Armenia a "blood-stained Russian boot" and a bottle symbolizing "Molotov's cocktail".

The policemen let only one participant of the protest David Sanasaryan to approach the embassy. The rest of the protesters are standing on the opposite side of the road.

David Sanasaryan stated that the bloodstained Russian boot symbolizes that Russian boots will never trample the Armenian land. While Molotov's cocktail warns that if any lands are passed to Azerbaijan without considering Armenian nation's opinion such cocktails will be thrown at the building of the embassy and presidential residency.
