Yerevan hosts consultations of deputy foreign ministers of CSTO member states

 On April 19, Yerevan hosted consultations of deputy foreign ministers of the CSTO member states. Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan presided over the consultations.      

The press office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry has told ArmInfo that CSTO Secretary General Ara Badalyan was also present at the event.  

The participants discussed a number of draft conceptual documents of the CSTO, as well as issues of coordination of the foreign political activities of the CSTO member states.    
"The discussion was held in a business and constructive atmosphere that reflected the mutual aspiration to intensify the activities aimed at ensuring collective security. On the sidelines of the consultations, the heads of the delegations met with Armenian Foreign Minister, Chairman of the CSTO Ministerial Council Edward Nalbandian," the source says.  The meeting was held in compliance with the Action Plan on implementation of the decisions of the September and December (2015) sessions of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the priorities proposed by Armenia for the period of Armenia's CSTO chairmanship. The Action Plan was approved by Armenian President, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council Serzh Sargsyan.
