Protest in Yerevan against sale of weapons to Azerbaijan by Russia

On April 13 rally against sale of weapons to Azerbaijan by Russia kicked off on Liberty Square, in Yerevan. 

The goal of the protest is to demand from Russia to stop supplying Azerbaijan weapons, which arelater used against Armenian servicemen, one of the organizers of the rally, Director of Armenian Institute of International Security Issues Stepan Safaryan told ArmInfo's correspondent.

David Sansaryan one of the organizers of the protest noted in his speech that Armenia must leave EEC ad CSTO immediately.  "We were told that Armenia enters EEC basing on national interests and security. But where is the promised security? We were told that CSTO is guarantor of our security, why then CSTO does not support our country?" he stated. In this context he added that due to assistance provided by pseudo-ally Russia to the Azerbaijani side Armenian soldiers are killed on the border from Russian weapons. 

To add, the protesters will organize demonstration by Northern Avenue to the government building and later will march toward the Embassy of Russia in Armenia.  Several hundreds of people are currently protesting on the Liberty Square.
