


There is a document on Karabakh conflict developed by the German Foreign Ministry, the key component of which is the observance of the ceasefire in the zone of Karabakh conflict, German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler stated answering to ArmInfo's correspondent's question.
According to the Ambassador the proposed document consists of 7 points, the main component of which is the principle of adherence to the ceasefire regime. The Ambassador stated that the matter concerns strengthening of the ceasefire regime and settling the conflict via dialog as well as measures for stabilization and confidence building. The program does not envisage steps on final settlement of the conflict, as this task is under OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs' mandate, the Ambassador explained. Answering to ArmInfo's question whether this document has been discussed with the OSCE MG Co-Chairs Ambassador Kiesler stated that his is not informed about that.
To recall, on April 6-7 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan paid an official visit to Germany. During the visit German Foreign Ministry proposed a plan consisting of 7 points, which according to the information should contribute to softening of violence potential in Nagorno-Karabakh and set a way for sustainable and peaceful settlement of the conflict.
