State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of Nagorno Karabakh Republic verifying information on finding body of Armenian soldier

 The State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic has received verbal information from the ICRC representatives saying that Azerbaijan reports on finding body of an Armenian soldier. 

"We are currently holding a dialogue to verify the reliability of the information," Head of the NKR State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Viktor Kocharyan told ArmInfo. 
Meantime, the ICRC told ArmInfo the dialogue between the sides on the search and evacuation of the bodies is confidential and they cannot provide any information on the issue.

 The State Committee for Hostages, POWs, and Missing of Azerbaijan has reported on finding and evacuating a body of an Armenian soldier from the neutral territory on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan Line of Contact in the course of the operation on the search of the missing during the military actions on the Line of Contact on April 2-5. All the relevant international organizations have been informed about it and the search is continued to ascertain the fate of an Azerbaijani missing soldier, the State Committee says in a statement disseminated today.

At present, a soldier of the NKR Defense Army is considered as missing.
