

Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will arrive in Armenia today on April 7 at the invitation of Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan. The Russian prime minister will meet with President Serzh Sargsyan and his counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan.
The two prime ministers will meet at the Armenian Government and then an enlarged meeting of the delegations will take place. A series of inter-governmental and inter-department documents will be signed. Afterwards, the two prime ministers will make a joint statement for Mass Media. Dmitry Medvedev will visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey.
Earlier, Russian government's Spokeswoman Natalia Timakova told journalists that Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will visit Yerevan on April 7 and Baku on April 8.
Medvedev's visit to Yerevan was announced on March 24 prior to escalation of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The agenda of meetings with the Armenian authorities includes bilateral cooperation in trade- economic, investment, industrial, cultural and other fields. It was also planned that the Russian Prime Minister would participate in the summit of Eurasian Economic Commission scheduled on April 8 in Yerevan.
