Since the beginning of military actions in Artsakh the Armenian side has lost 32 servicemen, Colonel Vitaly Arustamyan, Head of the Operations Department of the NKR Defense Army said today at the press conference.
He also noted that after the agreement on cease-fire, shooting continued along the line of contact. "In the northern direction mortars were used, as well as tank attack was conducted. In eastern and southern directions mortars of large caliber were used", emphasized the Colonel.
Besides, according to him in the northern direction the adversary's special groups tried to attack and conquer positions several times, but their attempts failed. At the same time Arustamyan added that the Azerbaijani side has sent augmentation forces on the front and is preparing for a new attack. "These forces are not so far from the frontline, however it is too early to assess their activities", he stressed. The Colonel also added that since the beginning of military actions in Artsakh the Armenian side has lost 32 servicemen.
"3 new losses are among those, who were considered as gone missing, the number of which is 25 by now, we also have 121 injured", he added.
Arustamyan also commented on the information about loosing Armenian positions. " This mountain can not be considered a strategic point as its height is 20 meters and the space of the height is 5 meters", he said.
The Colonel also commented on the death of two soldiers in Karvachar he did not excluded that the deaths were caused by personal conflict.
To note, earlier Arustamyan was stating that the Armenian side has lost 8 positions, of a total 500 square meters.
