Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved peacefully, US ambassador to Azerbaijan says

The US government has condemned the latest violence along the contact line and extended condolences over the deaths, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta told reporters on Wednesday, as APA reports.

The US diplomat reiterated that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group, urging both parties to exercise restraint.

"The Minsk Group co-chairs arrived in Baku today. Our co-chair in the Minsk Group is working to find a peaceful solution to the conflict.  So I wouldn't like to comment on the negotiations in his name. But I can say that we think it's important to resolve this conflict peacefully," he added.
