Armenian Defense Ministry confirms that today's agreement on ceasefire was reached not under the condition of the sides' returning to the positions, which had been fixed before April 1 2016, Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia David Tonoyan told ArmInfo's correspondent.
According to him the adversary managed to advance along the line of front but this cannot be called "conquest of combat positions". Tonoyan also informed that the agreement on ceasefire between NKR and Azerbaijan was reached due to co-chair countries' efforts.
To note, earlier Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan stated that the Armenian side stands for returning of the sides to the positions, fixed before April 1 2016, when Azerbaijan initiated military actions in the zone of Karabakh conflict.
Meanwhile, today on 12:00 pm local time, an agreement on ceasefire was reached between Nagorno- Karabakh and Azerbaijan. However, according to ArmInfo's non-official information the adversary kept control over several points in Jebrail, Mataghis and Martuni.
