The Armenian lawmakers see no need in applying to the CSTO related to firing Armenia's borders by Azerbaijan at the background of escalation of the situation in the zone of Karabakh conflict.
As the Head of Prosperous Armenia Party Naira Zohrabyan told ArmIfno's correspondent there is no need to apply to CSTO related to the current situation. "CSTO members know about the situation if they wanted to react they would do that without our request".
Head of Prosperous Armenia faction Edmon Marukyan in his turn also thinks that one should rely only on own forces. "We do not know what impact the involvement of the third parties will have", he noted. At the same time the lawmaker added that the Armenia's President should not postpone his visit to Germany and should use it for informing the international community about the real situation in the zone of Karabakh conflict.
"The only structure to which we should apply in the current situation is the Armenian army", Hovhannes Sahakyan, Head of the Armenian Parliamentary Commission on State and Legal Affairs, stated.
To note, Azerbaijan unleashed large-scale military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh over night of April 1. Yesterday it even fired borderline villages of Tavush region of Armenia, which caused injury of two soldiers.
