

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and German Foreign MinisterFrank-Walter Steinmeier had a phone talk today by the German side's initiative.
As the press-service of Russian foreign ministry informs, the ministers expressed serious concerns over the sharp escalation of the situation on the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which has already caused numerous casualties as well among civilians.
Lavrov and Steinmeier agreed that there can be no military settlement to the confrontation in the region and stated for exercising restraint by the sides, immediate cease of fire and resumption of negotiations under the auspices of OSCE Minsk Group, the press service of the Russian foreign ministry reports.
