Astana urges Karabakh conflict parties to show restraint

The Foreign Ministry of  Kazakhstan reafforms its stand about the need for exclusively peaceful resolution of the conflict, the official statement of the Kazakh ministry says. 

"The Kazakh Foreign Ministry is keeping a close eye on the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh. We express our serious concern about the ceasefire violations in the Karabakh conflict zone and the reports about human losses. We call upon the parties to exercise restraint and strictly observe the ceasefire. Supporting the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group towards the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, we reaffirm our stand, stressing the need to resolve the conflict exclusively by peaceful means", the statement says. It also stresses that Astana campaigns for intensification of the search for compromise solutions to the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict and hopes that the parties concerned will show constructive approach to achieving  progress in the settlement process.
