Stepanakert refutes Baku’s reports on return to observation of ceasefire regime

 Stepanakert has officially refuted the reports of Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry on the ceasefire agreement between the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides and one-sided cessation of fire, Spokesperson for the NKR President David Babayan told ArmInfo.  

 He said the Azerbaijani side uses the call of the Russian side and presents it as a mediation effort. “There is no agreement; the Azerbaijani side keeps shelling the Line of Contact using artillery. Consequently, it is another trick of the Azerbaijani regime that does not coincide with the real steps of Baku,” Babayan said.

 Meantime, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Spokesperson for the Armenian Defense Army, posted on Facebook that the statement of the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan is just an information trap and does not mean a one-sided cessation of fire.

 Earlier today, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan disseminated information that an agreement to resume the ceasefire regime was achieved at the behest of Russia and that the Azerbaijani side stops the offensive.
