Yesidis of Armenia to protect Armenian borders if necessity

Yezidis of Armenia condemn Azerbaijan's military actions on Nagorno-Karabakh line of contact, according to the statement received by ArmInfo. 

"Yezidis community in Armenia condemns Azerbaijan's actions and expresses readiness to join the ranks of Armenian army and to protect the Armenian borders. Since today the

"Sinjar Yezidi National Union" will revise and present the lists of persons ready to protect the borders to the Defense Ministry of Armenia", the statement reads.

On April 1 night, the Azerbaijani army attacked the positions of the NKR Defense Army along the entire line of contact, using artillery, armored vehicles and air force. The adversary targeted also the populated areas and civil facilities. Fierce battles are still going on along the line of contact. The Armenian Air Defense Forces took retaliatory measures, shooting down 2 Azerbaijani military helicopters, 2 drones, and destroying 3 battle tanks. The adversary has serious human losses
