Defense Ministry: Situation on line of contact in various directions remains tense

Information about nation-wide mobilization, evacuations and numerous losses of the Armenian side does not correspond to reality, Press Secretary of Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page. 

He noted that the situation on the lien of contact on various directions remains tense and battling continues.  "However, one should not spread disinformation and there is no nation-wide mobilization and evacuation in the country and the Armenian aside does not have numerous losses", he noted. 

On April 1 night, the Azerbaijani army attacked the positions of the NKR Defense Army along the entire line of contact, using artillery, armored vehicles and air force. The adversary targeted also the populated areas and civil facilities. Fierce battles are still going on along the line of contact. The Armenian Air Defense Forces took retaliatory measures, shooting down 2 Azerbaijani military helicopters, 2 drones, and destroying 3 battle tanks. The adversary has serious human losses.
