Members of Union of Artsakh War Veterans express willingness to head for Artsakh

 The members of the Union of Artsakh War Veterans have expressed willingness to head for Artsakh to support the servicemen on the line of contact of the Artsakh and Azerbaijani troops.     

The press office of the Union of Artsakh War Veterans has told ArmInfo that Hamlet Hovsepyan, the head of the Union, convened an emergency meeting in the light of the escalation on the line of contact. The Union strongly condemned the provocation actions of Azerbaijan. The members of the Union also expressed willingness to head for Artsakh.     

On April 1 night, the Azerbaijani army attacked the positions of the NKR Defense Army along the entire line of contact, using artillery, armored vehicles and air force. The adversary targeted also the populated areas and civil facilities. Fierce battles are still going on along the line of contact. The Armenian Air Defense Forces took retaliatory measures, shooting down 2 Azerbaijani military helicopters, 2 drones, and destroying 3 battle tanks.
