Yerevan-Sochi and Yerevan-Rostov flights cancelled

As of March 19, 12:15pm local time, 8 flights from Yerevan to Sochi and Rostov-On-Don and return have been canceled.  

As the website of Zvartnots international airport informs D9 5331 flight to Rostov-On- Don by "Donavia" airline and SU 5331 flight by Aeroflot airline have been cancelled. D9 5330 flight by Donavia and SU 5330 flight by Aeroflot from Rostov-On-Don to Yerevan are also canceled. Besides, due to climate conditions Yerevan-Sochi and Sochi-Yerevan flights have also been cancelled (SU 5367 -Aeroflot, and D9 5367-Donavia to Sochi and SU5366-Aeroflot and D95366 -Donavia from Sochi). 

To recall, the FlyDubai Boeing 737-800, coming from Dubai, missed the runway as it attempted to land at 03:50 local time on Saturday. Reports say the plane abandoned its initial attempt to land and circled for two hours before crashing at the second attempt. According to preliminary information of Russian Emergency Situations Ministry 62 people were on the board (55 passengers and 7 crew members), all died.
