Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his concerns "over situation in certain zone of responsibility of CSTO" during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Armenian president made this statement in response to Putin's offer to discuss the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. "CSTO is responsible for security issues, fight against terrorism and organized crime, for ensuring peace on our borders", Putin emphasized.
The Presidents also discussed the Syrian crisis and bilateral relations. Sargsyan expressed full support to Russia's actions in Syria and hailed Russian-US agreements on reconciliation of the conflicting sides.
The Armenian President also thanked Moscow for its participation in the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict assuring his counterpart that Yerevan stands for exclusively peaceful settlement of the conflict.
According to the official statement of Kremlin, cooperation in trade and investments, energy and humanitarian fields will be discussed during the Moscow meeting of Armenia and Russia's presidents on March 10. Integration processes on Eurasian space and the issue of Nagorno-Karabakh settlement are also on the agenda of the meeting.
