On March 1, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan introduced the newly-appointed Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Levon Yolyan to the Ministry's staff. To note, previously Yolyan was the deputy chairman of the Control Chamber of Armenia.
When commenting on the appointment, Hovik Abrahamyan pointed out that he does not consider the appointment hasty. He failed to answer the question why Yervand Zakharyan has been discharged as energy minister. Levon Yolyan, in turn, told journalists that his appointment was to some extent unexpected for him. Yolyan said that there are positive trends in the power engineering and that he sees certain prospects for development. He also promised to work as transparently as possible.
