Armenian Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan uses tanks and artillery on frontline

 On December 18 night, the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on the line of contact of the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops was extremely tense, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Spokesman for the Armenian Defense Ministry, says on his Facebook page.      

He says that when firing at the Armenian positions, the adversary used battle tanks and artillery. In addition, the Azerbaijani armed forces attempted to mount various sabotage attacks.     

NKR Defense Army serviceman Fidar Aloyan (born in 1996) was killed in the course of defensive actions in Karabakh.   

To recall, the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents are going to meet in Bern, Switzerland, on December 19.
