Armenian serviceman killed as a result of sabotage attack by Azerbaijan

 On December 18 night, a 19-year-old serviceman of the Karabakh Defense Army was killed on the line of contact with the Azerbaijani troops.  

The press office of the NKR Defense Army has told ArmInfo that last night the adversary attempted to mount sabotage attacks on various sections of the line of contact. The frontline detachments of the NKR Defense Army launched defensive actions and the Azerbaijani raiders suffered losses (at least 2 victims and several wounded) and were thrown back.   

Unfortunately, NKR Defense Army serviceman Fidar I. Aloyan (born in 1996) was fatally wounded.  Investigation is underway. 

The NKR Defense Army extends its condolences to Fidar Aloyan's family, relatives and fellow servicemen.   

To recall, the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan are to meet in Bern, Switzerland, on December 19.
