Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov considers senseless the statements on fabricating 500 thousand votes at the referendum made by the head of Armenian National Congress faction and No Front Levon Zurabyan.
"All these statements are fantastic, as international observers and journalists' presence makes it impossible to conduct such mass fabrications", Sharmazanov noted. At the same time the representative of Republican Party did not exclude that there could be fabrications but according to him, there did not have large scale. "Referendum could not pass ideally, there were some violations of law, with which the law enforcement bodies will deal", the politician noted. He also urged the oppositionists not to make unfounded statements but to present real facts, which can be examined and assessed. Sharmazanov also thinks that if all the violations, registered by the mass media representatives are taken into consideration they still cannot affect the results of the referendum.
The head of Armenian National Congress faction and No Front Levon Zurabyan said the "NO" Front has many proofs of the vote fabrication and will publish them within the required period of time. He reiterated that the authorities could fabricate nearly 500,000 votes through bribes, additional electoral registers, pressure, multiple voting and others. "We re not going to remain silent. We will demand re-calculation of the votes," he said.
