Constitutional referendum once again proved that to achieve any system changes in Armenia public should take the streets, Armen Martirosyan, Heritage Party Vice Chairman, told reporters.
"We anticipated violations of the voting process, but not so large-scale ones. Armenia has no election system. This was finally proved on December 6. The National Security Service structures, Police and their agents do not register these violations, though everything happens just in front of their eyes," he said. In his words the Police fail to fulfill their direct responsibilities. Instead they have gathered at the Liberty square to protect from the public anger the people who received power and money due to the movement that had started from this very square.
"I can only say that everyone in Armenia who wants to protect his infringed rights should take the streets and join us. We did our best to fight the falsifications during this public vote. I am not going to fight for the others. Neither am I going to listen to anyone's complaints about the authorities. Our fate is in our hands. Let everyone decide whether he wants to decide his own fate," Martirosyan said.
