


ARFD and Armenian Revival political parties of Armenia have established their Constitutional Referendum campaign headquarters.
Members of the Armenian Revival Party that was set up by Arthur Baghdasaryan, the leader of Orinats Yerkir Party, are running a campaign against the constitutional amendments.
They elected Telman Aramyan as the head of their campaign headquarters.
ARFD that is campaigning in favor of the Constitutional Amendments have established 5 campaign headquarters and elected five leaders for them: Armen Rustamyan, the head of the ARFD parliamentary faction, MPs Artsvik Minasyan and Aghvan Vardanyan, and members of the Party Levon Mkrtchyan and Arsen Hambardzoumyan. To recall, on October 5, the National Assembly adopted the draft constitutional amendments with 104 "pros".
The referendum on the reforms will be held on December 6. The amendments imply transition to the parliamentary system of government. The opponents of the amendments say it will help the incumbent authorities retain their grip on power. Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan will head the campaign headquarters of the Republican Party. RPA, along with ARFD and Prosperous Armenia are supporters of the Constitutional Amendments. Levon Zurabyan, Head of the Armenian National Congress Faction, will head the "No!" Front. The New Armenia Movement has announced that its campaign headquarters will be led by the Founding Parliament coordinator Zhirayr Sefilyan. ANC, Heritage Party and Orinats Yerkir Party oppose the Constitutional Amendments.
