David Babayan: If Baku wants us to liberate even more historical Armenian lands, it can resume military operations

If Azerbaijan wants us to liberate even more historical Armenian lands, it can resume the military operations in the Karabakh conflict zone, David Babayan, Spokesman for the Nagorno-Karabakh President, has told ArmInfo when commenting on the Azerbaijani defense minister's statement about the intention "to liberate the Azerbaijani lands" in the near future.   

Babayan says that Zakir Hasanov has serious psychological problems. "Armenophobia, fascism and nationalism ruin the soul of that man. However, he should think about the serious losses the resumption of military actions will result in. Hundreds of thousands of innocent people will fall victims to those actions.  But he does not think of those people, because he will be sitting in Baku and managing the military activities from Baku. If Azerbaijan wants to lose even more lands, let it perform that task," says Babayan.         

To note, Azerbaijani Defense Minister has recently said at one of the military units of the Azerbaijani armed forces, "We have only one goal - to liberate our lands from the occupants within a short time. The Azeri people and the supreme commander-in-chief also demand this. The armed forces should exert all efforts to perform that task. I'd like to assure the supreme commander-in-chief and our people that the armed forces are ready to perform that task successfully within a short time."
