
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia (NOCA) Gagik Tsarukyan visited the construction site of the Olympic village on September 11 in the capital's administrative district of Davitashen. The President got acquainted with the construction works and the conditions created at the sports base, provided for more than 300 athletes in the area of about 7500 square meters. This was reported by the press service of the RA President. Construction of the Olympic Village, which was launched in 2013, will be completed at the end of September 2015. After the start of operation of the buildings the entire staff of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia will move here. President was shown the halls provided for wrestling, judo, taekwondo, boxing, weightlifting and team sports, as well as their capabilities, centers of sports medicine and anti-doping services. It was noted that in the Olympic village will create all necessary conditions for training.
Serzh Sargsyan visited the Yerevan Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory "Ararat". Together with the owner of the plant, the founder of the concern "Multi Group" - Gagik Tsarukyan, the President familiarized himself with the works on modernization and re-equipment of the plant. The President visited the administrative building which turned into the museum, which was built in Shustov times, as well as Shustov historic cellars where there are stored and displayed old technologies and recipes, museum exhibits recovered from the archives of the centuries-old traditions of Armenian cognac business.
