


21-year-old Ivan Boskhmjoiev, who is accused oif murdering his 19-year-old comrade-in-arms Ivan Novikov, was under the influence of alcohol when committing the crime.
ArmInfo's sources inform that grassing has resulted in the murder. Novikov would repeatedly inform on the troop leader, which was followed by the latter being removed from the office. A criminal charge was launched against him. ArmInfo's source informs that on the night of the murder the former troop leader told Boskhmjoiev about the incident over a bottle.
According to him, this pushed Boskhmjoiev on to commit the crime. The source denied the information regarding a third party of the incident who is allegedly at military base hospital.
To note, Russian soldier Ivan Novikov's corpse was found on June 15 at around 9 AM local time near the monument "Mother Armenia" in Gyumri city. There were many stab and slash wounds on the body. Both Armenian and Russian sides have launched a criminal case on murder. It was said that upon preliminary information, the domestic conflict with his comrade-in-arms allegedly resulted in the death of the soldier. It is said that there is also a third party involved - an injured person who is currently at Russian military base hospital. Russian president Vladimir Putin has been informed about the Russian soldier's murder in Gyumri, Armenia, TASS quotes Putin's press-secretary Dmitry Peskov's words.
