Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan's statement at the session of the RPA Council has sharply accelerated the political processes in the countryand become the reason of serious changes, secretary of the "Heritage" party, Armen Martirosyan, said at today's press-conference.
"Sargsyan's such statement and further actions of the authorities have accelerated the political processes, a result of which may become either the power shift or turning Armenia into a country similar to North Korea", - he said. He also added that the accents put by Sargsyan do not meet democratic values which the ruling party say about from time to time.
'If to speak about the legal categories and depriving Gagik Tsarukyan of the deputy mandate, I think that the parliament should be dissolved, as members of the parliament do not attend the parliamentary sessions. Moreover, they have their own business, and were elected through the fraud elections. If the president listens to the people and wants to punish Tsarukyan because of rumors, let him listen to all the rumors and punish everybody. Moreover, if the authorities used to cover up tax dodging, crimes and other actions which the PAP leader is blamed for, in that case they are the copartners of these deeds", - Martirosyan said.
He thinks that such nervous collapses of the authorities happen only when they scare to lose power. Martirosyan is confident that such actions of the authorities have become a step towards establishment of the authoritarian and single-party regime of power.
To recall, speaking at the Republican Party Council meeting on February 12, Serzh Sargsyan levered harsh criticism at Tsarukyan for his 'pseudo-political' activity, saying he would be excluded from the Security Council, because "the supreme security body of the country is not a cinema where one can come and leave when he wants." The president blamed Tsarukyan for non- competence and for tax evasion.
