The United States is ready to help Armenia to overcome the economic problems caused by the anti-Russian sanctions and falling fuel prices, Eric Rubin, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, said on Tuesday.
He said that Russia's economic problems are causing difficulties to some other states and the US is ready to help them to overcome them.
According to Rubin, the newly appointed US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills will discuss this and other economy-related questions with the Armenian authorities.
Rubin said that the United States' policy in the South Caucasus is aimed at maintaining the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of its nations.
