Armenia and the United States discussed the implementation of international experience in emergency management.

ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia Arnak Avetisyan received a delegation led by Brian Breuhaus, Director of the newly established Bureau of Disaster and Humanitarian Response of the U.S. Department of State.

According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration, during the meeting, the parties agreed to expand opportunities for implementing international best practices in the Republic, as well as to organize training and educational courses.

The Deputy Minister noted the existing opportunities for expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership between Armenia and the United States. Armenia's disaster risk reduction and resilience strategy was also presented to the meeting participants. In this context, the role of local governments in organizing, coordinating, and providing direct assistance to the population in emergency situations was emphasized.
