ArmInfo. A documentary film dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the birth of the prominent Armenian poet and public figure Vahan Teryan will be produced. At its November 5 meeting, the RA government decided to allocate 30 million drams for this purpose.
The rationale for the draft decision notes that the full-length documentary will include various periods and events using new technological means, telling the story of various episodes in Vahan Teryan's life, significant events, and his exceptional work, as well as shedding light on many unknown pages of Armenian history. This initiative is the first attempt to create a comprehensive picture of the great Armenian poet, which will enable the preservation, appreciation, and transmission of Vahan Teryan's legacy to future generations. 26 million drams have already been allocated for the film's production, which the creators used for preparatory work and some filming, including significant events in Armenia and Georgia, the poet's homeland. Currently, filming in the Russian Federation, specifically Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Orenburg, is necessary to film the full script, and 30 million drams are needed to support this. The film's release is scheduled for 2027.
