ArmInfo. Armenia lives in a land of mirrors. This was stated by Gegham Manukyan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition "Armenia" faction, in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on November 4.
According to him, everything within the walls of parliament looks very beautiful: beautiful premises, everyone in beautiful suits and beautiful ties, talk of billions of drams, but behind all this lies yet another road tragedy, resulting in the deaths of many people. "It is also unclear what law enforcement officers are trying to find in the house of our colleague Narek Karapetyan?" "It's understandable that his home may be a Hermitage, but how many times can one house be searched," the opposition figure said, citing statements by Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan, who, in a conversation with journalists the day before, made insulting remarks against opposition MPs simply because the opposition factions claimed that the new Armenian Constitution was being drafted at the request of Ilham Aliyev. "Since she is a woman, I will refrain from making insults in response, but I would like the Minister of Internal Affairs to assess these statements," Manukyan said, addressing Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan.
Regarding the rising number of traffic accidents, the minister emphasized the need for road improvements, driver safety regulations, and improved behavior. The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure is actively involved in road improvements. Patrol Service enforcement has significantly strengthened its safety regulations, and work is also underway on the third component—driver behavior.
