Armenia and Iran discussed steps to enhance cooperation

ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Hakobyan discussed with a delegation led by Ara Shahverdyan, Chairman of the Iran-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Iranian Majlis, issues of cooperation between the legislative bodies of Armenia and Iran, as well as steps to further intensify contacts between existing friendship groups. Friendship group members Gegard Mansourian, Seyed Mohammad Saadat Ebrahimi, and Seyed Mohammad Jamalian participated in the meeting.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Iran, Hakobyan briefed the Iranian parliamentarians on the latest developments in bilateral relations with Iran and emphasized readiness to further deepen ties in an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust.

During the meeting, the issue of unblocking communication channels in the region was also discussed, in the context of which the Armenian Ambassador presented the latest agreements and main principles reached under the TRIPP project.
