ArmInfo. On October 28, the National Assembly of Armenia ratified the framework agreement with the United States on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity Project (TRIPP). 63 members voted in favor of the ratification, 32 voted against, and there were no abstentions.
TRIPP envisions the creation of a multimodal transport and energy corridor through Armenia's Syunik region, linking the mainland of Azerbaijan with Nakhichevan, as well as connecting the north and south of Armenia. To this end, a joint venture, TRIPP Development Company, is being established, to which Armenia will transfer the initial development and management rights for a period of 49 years (with possible extension). Armenia intends to offer the United States a 74% stake in the company, retaining 26% (with an extension, Armenia's share could increase to 49%).
