Arminfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan congratulated the “Student List” on its victory in the elections in Serbia.
“Congratulations to the “Student List” and the student bloc on their victory in the elections in Serbia! We look forward to cooperating with Serbia’s future government to further strengthen our longstanding friendship and bilateral cooperation,” Pashinyan wrote on his Twitter (X) account.
Earlier, according to DW, former Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić acknowledged the defeat of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party, which he led, in the snap parliamentary elections held in the country on Sunday, October 25. He noted that despite the lack of final results so far, it was obvious that his political force had lost the election. According to him, the “Student List” won: they would receive between 135 and 140 seats, while his political force would have 105.
The Central Election Commission of Serbia reported that voter turnout in the parliamentary elections as of 18:00, two hours before polling stations closed, stood at 64.9%—a record figure since the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992.
