According to the source, the Syunik Regional Prosecutor's Office, as part of its authority to protect state (community) interests, examined documents on the allocation of land plots located in the Sisian city park to various individuals. The inspection revealed that a 0.04-hectare plot of land in the park was allocated to an individual with construction rights, in violation of legal requirements. The Prosecutor's Office submitted a petition to the head of the Sisian Community, demanding that measures be taken to terminate the development right agreement concluded between the Sisian Community and the developer on July 25, 2015.
Based on the petition, the Sisian Community Municipality terminated the development right registered with the Cadastre Committee for a 0.04-hectare land plot with a cadastral value of 750,000 drams, located in the "28 May" Park.
It should be noted that the park occupies an area of 9,595.68 square meters, where the land plots were allocated to individuals under contracts concluded with development rights. As a result of the Prosecutor's Office's intervention, 13 land plots with an area of 6,411.48 square meters from the aforementioned park were returned to the ownership of the Sisian Community. Work is underway to return five plots of land to the ownership of the local community.
