ArmInfo. Employment incentive programs for able-bodied individuals from low-income families, those internally displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and demobilized service members who participated in the 2020 hostilities will be combined into one program starting January 1, 2027, to improve its effectiveness. A similar decision was made at a government meeting on October 22.
As Minister of Labor and Welfare Arsen Torosyan presented the program details, it will involve approximately 1,500 beneficiaries and will be implemented through the Ministry's e-work system, ensuring transparency and accessibility without creating additional administrative burdens.
The program will be implemented in three stages. The first involves the receipt of educational electronic vouchers worth 250,000 drams for specialized training. They can use these vouchers for six months at organizations implementing modular non-formal education programs. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive corresponding certificates.
Beneficiaries are then employed based on their acquired specialization. If a three-month employment contract is signed, the employer will receive 50% of the new employee's salary (up to a maximum of 25,000 drams). If the contract is signed for six months, the employer will receive 100,000 drams (up to a maximum of 50,000 drams). Additionally, Torosyan reported, a one-time payment of 100,000 drams is also available to the beneficiary if the employment relationship continues for three months. AMD, or 200,000 AMD for 12 months.
The minister noted that no additional allocations from the state budget will be required, as these programs already have budget funding.
In this regard, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan presented the latest data from the State Revenue Committee (SRC), according to which another record was set in the number of jobs in September.
