"On October 19, 2026, at approximately 5:50 PM, Kasimov Yashar Ali Oglu, a resident of the village of Chatakh in the Tovuz region and a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 1968, was found in the territory of the Republic of Armenia (Tavush region). As a result of verification activities, it was established that the citizen of the Republic of Armenia is missing. Appropriate measures are being taken to return the Azerbaijani citizen," the National Security Service of Armenia reported.

On October 21, Armenian media reported that an Azerbaijani shepherd crossed into Armenia with a white flag. It was noted that he had psychological problems. The incident occurred in the Tavush region.
