A delegation led by the Vice Mayor of Beijing visited Yerevan Lake

ArmInfo. A delegation led by Beijing Vice Mayor Wen Xiang, visiting the Armenian capital for COP17, visited Yerevan Lake.

According to the press service of the capital's municipality, Sirarpi Haykazyan, head of the Environmental Protection Department of the Yerevan Municipality, met with the Chinese delegation to discuss issues related to the lake's water quality, the reservoir's seismic stability, and sediment removal. A concept for upcoming improvements aimed at making Yerevan Lake and the surrounding area cleaner, more well-maintained, and more attractive was also presented.

Beijing's experience in river and reservoir cleaning and the potential for its application in Yerevan were discussed.
