ArmInfo. The current Armenian government, led by Nikol Pashinyan, rose to power thanks to the people of the regions, and now they've decided to bar those same people from entering the country's capital. This was stated by diplomat and member of the National Democratic Pole (NDP) Council, Ara Papyan, in response to the statement by the Deputy Mayor of Yerevan that, as part of the plan to decongest the capital, residents of the country's regions will be barred from entering the capital in their own cars.
"I sincerely congratulate the residents of Armenia's regions. The 'State Duma' wields power thanks to your votes. You are now second-class citizens. You will not be allowed to enter your country's capital by car. They will force you to leave your car at the city gates after a long drive, and, of course, charge you for parking. Then you will be forced to squeeze into non-existent buses or any expensive taxi to get to the hospital, university, or a relative's house. Enjoy, it's your choice." "The State Duma can't govern either the country or the city, and everything will be decided at the expense of you and your ilk. I forgot to say: since they're running the city poorly, they'll raise their salaries. And you won't be allowed into Yerevan, so you don't get in their way and prevent them from enjoying life," the diplomat wrote on his Facebook page.
