On October 9, Aram Vardevanyan, Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the Strong Armenia opposition faction and member of the Armenia-Italy Friendship Group, met with Alessandro Ferranti, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Republic of Armenia.
According to the parliament's press service, welcoming the ambassador, Aram Vardevanyan praised the effective cooperation and development of relations between Armenia and Italy, based on shared values. Speaking about parliamentary ties between the two countries, the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized the opportunity to further deepen existing relations, as well as to tap into the vast potential in the economic, educational, cultural, and other spheres.
Aram Vardevanyan presented his remarks on democratic processes, human rights protection, and the rule of law in our country.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Ambassador also emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral ties and spoke about the numerous programs being implemented in Armenia in cooperation between the two countries. Bilateral cooperation within the framework of expanding relations between Armenia and the European Union was also mentioned.
