


ArmInfo. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian proposed creating a "CIS+1" format to develop cooperation between the Commonwealth and Tehran at the CIS leaders' summit in Turkmenistan.
"Iran is proposing to create a flexible and effective mechanism for dialogue and cooperation in the 'CIS countries + Iran' or 'CIS+1' format," the Iranian president said during the CIS summit, which he is attending for the first time as a guest, Fars reports.
He added that this would allow for the development of joint work in areas such as transit, energy, trade, mining, investment, technology, water resources and environmental protection, tourism, as well as scientific and cultural ties.
