ArmInfo. Edgar Ghazaryan, a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the opposition Strong Armenia faction, reported that the court froze his bank accounts.
"At the request of Nikol Pashinyan (RA Prime Minister - ed.), the court froze my bank accounts, which was immediately carried out by the Compulsory Enforcement Service. My large family is deprived of the right to manage their own funds because of a pathetic, weak-willed person who is unable to withstand political competition," Ghazaryan stated.
As a reminder, the court previously sentenced Edgar Ghazaryan to a suspended two-year prison sentence with a one-year probation period. This criminal case is based on statements made in the fall of 2024. Touching upon the decision made by the Constitutional Court regarding the provisions on delimitation commissions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, according to the indictment, Kazaryan publicly insulted the judges of the Constitutional Court, calling them "either ignoramuses or deliberate traitors," and also stated that "the Constitutional Court has turned into a political booth for the "Civil Contract."
