ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is not scheduled to meet with either Russian President Vladimir Putin or Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Turkmenistan. This was announced by Nikol Pashinyan himself at a briefing on October 8.
According to him, he had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin the day before, during which the Armenian Prime Minister congratulated the Russian leader on his birthday. Meetings with both presidents were also held almost a month ago. However, no official meetings are planned at the forum itself in Turkmenistan, although, as Pashinyan himself admitted, the format of the meeting will be such that contacts will certainly take place.
As a reminder, the Commonwealth of Independent States summit will be held on October 8-9, 2026, in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in Turkmenistan. The event is timed to coincide with the 35th anniversary of the formation of the CIS. The heads of state of nine CIS countries are expected to participate.
